Bullet Arena Speed Chess Tournament [223]

This is a speed (bullet) chess tournament (Hourly Bullet Arena) I competed in on lichess.org while livestreaming on . Time controls are 1 minute per player.

I’m a self-taught National Master in chess out of Pennsylvania, USA who was introduced to the game by my father in 1988 at the age of 8. The purpose of this channel is to share my knowledge of chess to help others improve their game. I enjoy continuing to improve my understanding of this great game, albeit slowly. Consider subscribing here on YouTube for frequent content, and/or connecting via any or all of the below social medias. Your support is greatly appreciated. Take care, bye. ๐Ÿ˜€

  1. it is so painful to hear "zugzwang" like that, but it reminds me (controversaly) of your flawless and precise "fianchetto" ๐Ÿ˜€

  2. I have hit a wall in tournaments and felt demoralized when it comes to chess. Couple weeks ago I won three tournaments in a row. Now I've been on a losing streak and can't seem to Shake it. Any advice?

  3. Can't wait for the next episode of beginner to chess master

  4. I was the player at 18:45 luizfernandoalves. It was a real pleasure to play against you man. I got really nervous, as in every single time I play with you. I think the beginning was a little solid. What made me really happy is that I saw that sacrifice you talked about, just like you did, and it made me really happy that I could see it, and that you thought the same. I don't know if I would have won, but I liked it a lot. I thought the Knight could come next and give you some problems. I would probably have gotten too nervous to do anything really, even if I had the chance. Your queen move scared me too much. I think I could have afforded to just dodge it, but I panicked. I knew I was lost from the moment you got the Knight, but I felt like trying a little more. The tournaments on lichess are getting pretty tough. Do you get that impression too? Anyway, it was super cool to play you, man. Big fan.

  5. Jerry you are my only teacher, I started playing chess on march of 2016 and now I have a lichess account on 1650/1700 rating on blitz and classic, is that a good improvement or nah? Keep up the good work!

  10. I just wanted to note something that I think everyone should hear. The game that Jerry played against FURLESE (1416) at 9:50 was incredibly accurate. Here it is with the engine: https://en.lichess.org/8k2pytXt/white#1. All 0s. It shows that even though Jerry is playing an opponent who he knows is much weaker than him, he doesn't play a careless or stupid game. He respects the game and he plays as well as he can. You're awesome Jerry; keep being you.
